Go Green Tour

Green Economic Development or Sustainable Development is being seen as a trend for our future – an environmentally friendly future. 2012 – An International Year of Sustainable Energy for all selected the topic: “Green Economic: Does it include you?” for Word Environment Day on June 5th.  The goal of this action plan is to emphasize the role and responsibilities of each organization or individual in building a green economy for sustainable development.

“Think about what you can do to care for the global environment and promote sustainable development” – declared Mr. Ban Ki Moon – The UN’s General Secretary in Monaco, in the occasion of the 20th anniversary of becoming a member of the United Nations on April 3rd, 2013.

With the purpose of promoting the interest and participation of the community, students, as well as business’s employers for the United Nations programs: Education for sustainable development and Green technology market development, the Energy Development Center (EDEC in short) has organized the “Go Green Tour – Green Awareness Traveling Program”. This program officially started since April 13th, 2013 in Ho Chi Minh City.

Throughout the Green Tour program, attendees will have the opportunities to raise their awareness of environment protection, sustainable development and green economic by visiting and learning experiences from green offices and factories. In addition, the program is also a chance for businesses to receive ideas from communities to enhance their operations. “Green Economic – Sustainable Development” is really the concern of community? The “Go Green Tour – Green Awareness Traveling Program” usually help us approach the concept of “green economic”, “sustainable development” and contribute to protect our green environment and make our planet greener.
